The Medical Community provides interdisciplinary care and cultural support to children, young people and their families living within the DHB area. The service has three locality based community teams, a central team and a hearing and ear health team. Our nursing, allied health and technical staff are responsible for delivering health care services to children, young people, their families and whanau in their home, school and community settings.
A Permanent Part Time role has become available for innovative Vision Hearing Technician’s to join the Child Health Team at DHB. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will provide Hearing and Vision Screening services for children in the pre-school, school, family home and other community settings. You'll maintain accurate records and documentation, including the upkeep of accurate results into a database and ensuring the care of equipment.
This is a permanent part-time role that will offer an opportunity to gain a National Certificate within the first two years of employment. No qualification is required for this role as the successful applicant will receive on-going training and development.

- Hold a clean, current and full NZ driver’s license AND MUST be able to drive a manual car
- Have experience working with children
