Essential Criteria
• Registered Medical Practitioners who have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, or Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Radiologists, or equivalent to enable specialist (vocational) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
• Current annual practicing certificate
• Current valid NZ driving license
• Knowledge of current medical practices & medical law
• Strong communicator and be flexible with excellent organizational & time management skills
• Excellent listening skills & maintain good relationships with the patients
• Experience as a Vascular Surgeon with experience in Interventional Radiology
• An outstanding team player
• Enthusiastic about teaching and passing on knowledge to junior members of staff

About the Hospital
This is a well-established public hospital, which provides Child & Family Mental Health services and community-based services including rehabilitation services, social work, alcohol and drug services, and home support services. You have to treat conditions affecting the blood vessels; work alongside other physicians, managing disorders related to the vascular system and performing operations to treat vascular trauma; treat many conditions that affect the blood vessels in every part of the body.
Your responsibilities include meeting with patients to discuss their conditions and assess them for any illnesses; performing surgeries to provide relief to patients or lower their risk levels of certain diseases; create post-operational treatment plans for patients to follow to maximize the positive benefits of the procedure. Also, it recommends medication to reduce the patient’s exposure to a recurrence of prior issues or the development of new medical concerns.
These are team roles suited to applicants with an eye for detail and friendly, no-fuss style and a pro-active approach to work.
