Our client, based in South Auckland is the main hub for acute care and referral services. It is an accredited, teaching hospital and caters for most medical and surgical specialties with a catchment area of around 550,000 people. The Medicine experience at our client is wide and varied providing an interesting and challenging clinical environment.
Our client's Care Team is looking for a Senior Medical Officer to join their team. They currently delivered by a range of providers and services in community, primary care and secondary care settings. These include hospital clinical teams, hospice-delivered services, primary care providers, locality-based community teams, aged residential care facilities and non-government organisations (NGOs). Palliative Care Specialists are fundamental to supporting and building capability in the delivery of palliative care and to supporting partnership working between specialist and community service providers for those with complex needs. The overall objectives are to promote excellence for patients with uncertain outcomes and ensure shared decision-making in order to optimise quality of life.
Salary and conditions of service will be in accordance with the New Zealand ASMS Award Agreement.
