Our client from Auckland region has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with an enquiring mind and a passion for clinical research. You will be joining their supportive and vibrant research team in the Cancer & Blood Service. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of Medical Haematology Research trials.
As the Research Nurse, you will have your own trial caseload and be accountable for the care of patients on these studies. You will be working in Medical Haematology setting and will be responsible for recruiting and looking after patients on trials working with various Principal Investigators.
You will interact with study participants and their families, investigating clinicians, clinical trial coordinators, C&B Research department staff, pharmacy and laboratory colleagues, and sponsoring groups involved in the study.
To be successful in this role, essential skills required are:
- Level 4 Registered Nurse (Level 3 considered with appropriate experience).
- Medical Haematology experience
- Research experience (preferable)
- Ability to communicate with people from widely different backgrounds and cultures
- Methodical, well organised with meticulous attention to detail
- Able to work autonomously whilst integrating with the multidisciplinary team
- Self-starter who can manage your time effectively and who has a commitment to quality outcomes
- The part time position will focus on combination of both Radiation and Medical Haematology clinical trials with a component of trial coordination in the role and will suit an Haematology nurse with proficient IT skills
