Essential Criteria
• RACP accredited
• Current annual practicing certificate
• Current valid NZ driving license
• Legally entitled to work in New Zealand
• 2 years post qualification experience with a minimum of 9 months working in medical runs
• Doing the new primary source verification using the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates' Electronic Portfolio of International Credentials (ECFMG's EPIC) service if applying from overseas countries
• Strong communicator and be flexible with excellent organizational & time management skills
• A confident and effective communicator, truly passionate about your work

About the Hospital
This is a well-established public hospital, which provides Child & Family Mental Health services and community-based services including rehabilitation services, social work, alcohol and drug services, and home support services. The public hospital is a tertiary level hospital of 400 beds and services Dunedin and the wider Otago region.
Your responsibilities include handling Internal Medicine, Rehabilitation, Radiation Oncology, Respiratory, Rheumatology, Respiratory, Renal, Endocrinology, Haematology, Neurology, Cardiology, Older People's Health, ICU and Gastroenterology. As the Medical Registrar, you have to get involved with simulation training of House Officers and work closely with the RMO Unit and are actively involved in the maintenance of their own rosters. You will be training towards a career as a Physician or wanting to move into General Practice or Rural Hospital Medicine, and have a keen interest in the area of General Medicine.
