A well-established public hospital is looking for an appropriate & effective Registered Nurse to join their team, on Paediatric services. In this role, you will ensure nursing care of the highest quality in accordance with the Nursing Council of New Zealand scope of practice (Registered Nurse). The public hospital committed to the application of the Children’s Act 2014 and its intent to improve the safety of all children. This position is a Children’s Worker as defined by the Act.
The public hospital wishes to enhance the Paediatric medical care services and looking for a highly energetic & experienced Registered Nurse with great motivation to provide quality medical care for the community. The public hospital is a national service for children requiring intensive care for longer than 24 hours & a regional service for all children requiring intensive care or high dependency care.
This role’s responsibilities include professionalism, management of nursing care, and quality improvement while monitoring patients, providing appropriate care & informing patients and their families on the status of procedures.
Eligibility Criteria
- RGN; RGON; RPN; RCpN with or without BN or BHSc (Nursing)
- New Zealand registered nurse from New Zealand Nursing Council
- Proven ability to engage with people with a bicultural approach
- Professional portfolio with voluntary certification
- Excellent interpersonal & inter-professional skills required
- Current annual practicing certificate
- ICU nursing background from a paediatric/adult setting or experienced paediatric nurse with a strong interest in PICU
