The centre serves the largest DHB population in New Zealand providing services to more than 630,000 people and employing more than 8,000 staff.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Registered Nurse to join our multi- disciplinary Team at Infant, Child, and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
It is preferable that you have strong assessment and varied intervention skills and are able to work within a skilled multi-disciplinary team. An ability to connect and build a trusting relationship with a wide range of people from the community is essential, whether it be on site, at schools, homes or other settings.
A minimum of two years post graduate experience in mental health is preferred, and experience working with children, adolescents and families would be beneficial to the role.

Minimum Qualification
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ)
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- A relevant nursing qualification. In some instances, particular experience and/or on-the-job training may be required
- RN (RCompN or RPN) with recent mental health and addiction clinical experience
Experience
- Recent hospital clinical practice
- 3-years post graduate mental health specific clinical experience
- Demonstrates the ability to undertake a key worker role within a multi-disciplinary team
- Possess well developed clinical skills
- Sound assessment and psychosocial intervention skills
- Good understanding of challenges in working in a community setting
- Proven ability to deliver evidence-based clinical care
- Proven commitment to the delivery of quality nursing care
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven skills as a client/caregiver educator
- Proven ability to work successfully with Maori clients utilizing a whanau ora approach
- Proven ability to manage a workload in a planned and coordinated manner
- Proven ability to apply research to the practice setting
- Demonstrated commitment to own professional development

Working Environment
- Works indoors and clinics and other health care facilities in private and public hospitals and medical centers and specialist practices and clinics.
- Works inadequately lit, heated, ventilated and clean, well maintained and hygienic workspaces
