We are seeking for a Registered Nurse to join our Hyper-acute Stroke Team to support our patients and their whanau from presentation in the Adult Emergency Department, through radiology and into the Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit or Ward.
This role is Fixed Term (9 months), fulltime (1 FTE), rostered shifts – Monday to Sunday.
Purpose of the position:
To meet the needs of patients and their family/whanau using contemporary nursing care which is safe, appropriate and effective. The care is based on comprehensive assessment, ensures continuity, and is patient/consumer centred, culturally sensitive and evidence-based.
Service Descriptor:
- Identified patient/client group for the role
- Area of speciality clinical practice and setting that care will primarily be delivered in.
- Key points of integration and collaboration with other teams; services or providers
- The anticipated outcomes of care/intervention
Essential:
- A staff nurse will be able to demonstrate in their practice the following requirements for their level
- Registration with Nursing Council (NZ) and evidence that they are competent to practice within the Registered Nurse scope of practice
- RGN; RGON; RPN; RCpN with or without BN or BHSc (Nursing)
