A well-established public hospital is looking for an experienced and hardworking Registered Clinical Psychologist to support the clinical psychologist service it provides. The public hospital provides a range of inpatient & community services to people in the Canterbury region; specially provides specialist clinical assessment, complex case formulation & intense clinical intervention and therapy for patients experiencing mental illness with co-morbid intellectual/learning difficulties.
You should be able to provide clinical support for adults experiencing intellectual/learning disabilities with co-morbid mental health diagnoses. You have to do the Specialist clinical assessment, diagnostics and treatment of clients; utilizing specialist psychological interviewing, diagnostic, behavioral and psychometric assessments; Contributing to the continued education of Clinical Psychology students; Liaising and consulting with external agencies such as NGOs and other medical professionals.
Eligibility Criteria
• Being an NZ registered clinical psychologist or registered psychologist health experience
• Experience and skill working within the Intellectual Disability environment
• Registration under the clinical scope of practice/general scope with the NZ Psychologists Board/HCPC
• Postgraduate qualifications in clinical psychology
• Previous experience within a mental health service along with the completion of a recognized supervision training program
• Valid annual practicing certificate
• The ability to conduct formal clinical Risk Assessments
• Update knowledge on treatments and medical practices
• Valid NZ driving license

Location
