Located in Auckland, New Zealand we are committed to delivering whanau-centered care that focuses on the needs of the child first and values whanau (family) as an important member of the care team. We seek to lead New Zealand in paediatric service delivery, in the provision of pre and post-graduate nursing education, and through the building of our reputation as a national centre of excellence in paediatrics.
We have two positions starting in December 2019. These are 12 month programs based at Medical Hospital, New Zealand's premier paediatric hospital with six months in Paediatric Anaesthesia and six months in Paediatric Intensive Care each.
You will be either nearing the end of your training, or ideally, have recently completed a formal anaesthesia training programme, but seeking additional structured training in Paediatric Anaesthesia and intensive care.
In this role, you will receive exposure to a wide range of paediatric anaesthesia including general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, neurosurgery, and cardiac surgery, radiology, radiotherapy and pain management. There is an expectation that the Fellow will be involved in audit activities. Some participation in on call duties will be required.

Education & Qualifications
- Annual practising Certificate.
- Anaesthetist at pre or immediate post-specialist registration level
- Registration with MCNZ as a Medical Practitioner
