Do you have the experience, leadership and change management skills to step up into a challenging senior nursing role in the New Zealand health sector?
The Nurse Unit Manager role works in partnership with the Service Clinical Director to provide strategic and operational leadership. The role has responsibility for line management of Senior Nurses as well as a nursing professional and management accountability for clinical care, quality and safety, workforce management, service delivery and the implementation of designated nursing and directorate strategy. The nursing teams consist of Nurse Specialists, Charge Nurse Managers, Nurse Educators, Staff Nurses and Health Care Assistants.
Our client from Central Auckland region is looking for applications from Registered General or Comprehensive Nurses who are already working to the top of their scope as a Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist or other relevant senior nursing operational role with recent experience in an acute setting.
You will need to be able to manage the day to day care delivery across the service, effectively managing resources, whilst ensuring patient safety. You will have a proven track record for innovative thinking, patient focused care and implementation of system changes.
You will have proven people management capability, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and resilience working in a high paced environment. The ability to manage and lead departmental change and a positive attitude towards improving standards of care are essential.

This role is permanent, full timeworking 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. "
