- Part time role (28 hours per week) based in Cardiology Department .

The Cardiology Department leads New Zealand in providing specialised nursing care based on clinical skill, research, education and innovation. Their commitment is to the highest levels of clinical quality, providing the best standards of personalised care possible to their patients.
The Service is looking for a Senior Nurse with experience in working within their service in a busy and complex environment, with an interest in secondary prevention, heart failure and research.
As the Nurse Specialist you will be able to demonstrate expert knowledge, advanced clinical skills, and be an excellent communicator and team member. You will be accountable for coordination of the “BioMarker-guided Management Following Acute Coronary Syndromes, or BioMACS study [Ethics reference 19/STH/165] and will work in collaboration with other Nurse Specialists and multidisciplinary team members across the continuum of care.

As the ideal person for this role you will have:
- Have a minimum of 5 years Cardiology nursing experience with proven leadership.
- Interact effectively with a multi-disciplinary Team and Service members
- Maintain safe cultural practice and develop your cultural knowledge
- Excellent supervisory, communication and problem-solving skills are essential in order to relate to and work with patients, family members and staff and at all levels
- Have NZ Nursing registration with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Experience in clinical cardiovascular research is preferable
- Post graduate qualifications preferable
