This medical practice is a General Practice that makes it a goal to provide quality healthcare to all. Few of the services provided by this practice include Adult and child medical care, repeat prescriptions, immunization, ECG, and cervical screening.
As a Nurse Practitioner, your role will be to offer a wide range of assessments and treatment interventions, make diagnoses and prescribe medicines.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership
- Screen, assess, diagnose and prescribe
- Manage medicine and prescribe
- Provide emergency response
- Plan care for acute and long term conditions
- Refer patients as required
Skillset/ Attributes:
- Knowledgeable and understanding of medical, legal, and ethical responsibilities when providing care and prescribing
- Possess cultural sensitivity, empathy, and compassion
- Desire to provide better healthcare
- Excellent team member with confident decision-making, assistance, and communication.

Qualifications & Experience
- To be registered with the nursing council of New Zealand in the registered nurse scope of practice.
- Complete an approved clinical master’s degree program (or overseas equivalent) for the nurse practitioner scope of practice. The program must include relevant theory and a minimum of 300 hours of clinical learning.
- Have at least 4 years of experience in the area of practice
- Pass an assessment against the nurse practitioner competencies, given by a council-approved assessor.
