We are looking for great Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Psychologistswith bright ideas to join our Community Teams. You will be registered in NZ with a current Annual Practising Certificate in your profession and a full, clean driver’s licence or in the process of applying for registration.
Accountabilities
- To provide a range of therapeutic treatment options and support
- Using family therapy principles provide education and support to Service Users family/whanau, to enable family participation in the treatment programme
- To provide a key worker role to designated Service Users
- Facilitate and participate in appropriate recovery focussed groups
- Accurately documents assessments of service users health status and response to clinical interventions and other treatments
- Contributes to effective discharge planning and/or referral processes to health care providers and support agencies to meet identified health needs
- To actively participate in and contribute to service development initiatives and service evaluation
- To participate in own ongoing professional development and supervision
Education & Qualifications
• Registration in New Zealand as one of the following:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse
- Registered Comprehensive Nurse
- Registered Clinical Psychologist
- Registered Social Worker (or eligible)
- Registered Occupational Therapist
• Current practicing certificate
• NZ Drivers licence
• Post graduate certificate / diploma in specialty therapy
Work Experience
- At least one year’s experience in mental health clinical settings
- Experience working with family/whanau and community development
