Thus, we have got signed with few Public Health Boards that comes with the name DHB (District Health Board) that manages several Public Hospitals under their wing and have much Healthcare position available on their site looking for suitable candidates. We received their consent to grab information from those vacancies and post on our private platforms to reach a targeted audience.
Our private hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to provide specialist advice and consultation for people with concurrent physical and mental health issues to the Emergency Department.
Permanent, part-time and full-time roles available
As an ideal candidate, you will also have:
• A currently registered nurse registration and APC
• Level 4 PDRP
• Duly Authorised Office status
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience
• Community mental health nursing experience
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills for assessment, planning, monitoring and evaluation of care needs
• Demonstrate advanced communication skills including negotiation and interpersonal skills
• A clear aptitude and track record for working effectively in both a team environment and autonomously
• A willingness to contribute to quality improvement projects
We will offer you full orientation including some rostered afternoon shifts alongside the current team before.
The purpose of the role is to:
• Facilitate a single point of entry to the mental health service and coordination of acute assessment and treatment primarily overnight
• All presentations to ED are assessed promptly and a short term treatment plan developed and implemented to support meeting the 6 hour target
• Provide an efficient and effective first point of entry to the service for Police, Primary Care, service users, families and ED
• Coordination of access to the service from across mental health services
• Coordination of resources to minimize waiting times and the necessity of using on-call staff
Education & Qualifications
• Registration with Nursing with a current Annual Practising Certificate
• RCpN with specialty to practice in mental health postgraduate certificate;
• RPN or RMN
• Post Graduate qualification in relevant specialty
• Level 4 Nurse
• Duly Authorised Officer
Experience;
• Community mental health nursing experience
• Minimum of 5 years working in mental health
