This is an opportunity to be a part of a service that will support excellent clinical care into the future, as well as offering the chance to develop your existing Mental Health knowledge and nursing skills in an established and multidisciplinary work environment. Applicants will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and an understanding of the community keyworker role. This is ideal for an experienced Mental Health Nurse who has experience and skills working with people in need of acute mental health assessment and treatment, from a range of cultural backgrounds. Qualification and experience as a Duly Authorised Officer under the Mental Health Act would be an advantage.
As a key member of the Planned Acute Care (PAC) team, you will be working with professional, dedicated colleagues, assessing and managing the needs of Service Users who are referred to the service with an acute mental health presentation and increased risk. Being a confident communicator and clinical decision maker with strong nursing competencies is imperative.

This is ideal for a Mental Health Nurse who has experience and skills working with people from a range of cultural backgrounds and who has worked in a Community Mental Health setting previously. Strong organisational skills and a high level of time management are also required in the role. Development opportunities are also available. ADHB is keen to support PDRP portfolio achievement and post graduate education. This role is not suitable for new graduates
This role requires substantial mental health knowledge, skill and experience and is not suitable for New Graduate applicants.
You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate and a full and clean NZ driver's licence. Experience within a community mental health setting would be beneficial. ADHB is keen to support PDRP portfolio achievement and post graduate education.
