What to expect with your new position in Women’s Health
We are seeking an energetic, motivated, caring and empathetic Healthcare Assistant to join our team is a busy ward providing excellent care to women and their babies that requires secondary services.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a great team where there will be a full orientation program provided, as well as on-going support. You will be required to support and work within a collaborating team environment, consisting of Midwives, Nurses and other health professionals, to support the delivery of excellent patient care.
You’ll need to be a team player, confident communicator, culturally aware and sensitive and enjoy working with women and their families. Ability to organise and prioritise your workload is essential.
The ideal applicant should have the following:-
- At least 1 years proven experience as a Health Care Assistant, with a Health Support Assistant Certificate from Manukau Institute of Technology or an equivalent qualification (level 4)
- Previous hospital experience, preferably in a maternity ward, will be an advantage.
Education & Qualifications
- At least 3 years secondary schooling
- Proficiency in reading, speaking and writing English
- Healthcare assistant course or course not required (i.e. a second or third year student nurse)? Able to meet the physical demands of the job
