Position Description
Title Associate Genetic Counsellor
Reports to Kimberley Gamet
Primary Functions
To provide coordinated, efficient and quality genetic counselling service to patients and family/Whanau accepted as referrals to the Northern Hub of Genetic Health Service NZ (GHSNZ) in consultation with the Team Leader and Clinical Director. To support the Geneticists and Genetic Counsellor team in gathering clinical information required for genetic assessment. To provide genetic assessment of patients and families/whanau for a wide variety of inherited and/or congenital conditions with a known diagnosis in consultation with Geneticists and/or Senior Genetic Counsellors.
