A well-established public hospital is looking for an experienced and hardworking General Practitioner to join their longstanding supportive team. As a Group-owned public hospital, it opens on Weekdays at 08:30 am – 05:30 pm & Weekends at 10:00 am – 02:00 pm. The public hospital has 12 consulting rooms, 02 treatment rooms, and 08 doctors who are available on after-hours services: 1 in 4-5 weeks.
Thus, you will be working in the largest public health unit, which strives to GP services, hospital services, maternity services, allied health services, and community services. As a general practitioner, you have to consult with and examine patients, advise on health care, perform minor surgery, prescribe medicine, and keep medical records. You will have to provide the service in the areas of minor surgery, palliative care, and maternity care, management of GP inpatient services, elder health, community nursing, and general primary healthcare within a rural setting.
The Package:
• The salary package will reflect the qualifications, experience, and relevance to the NZ credentialing framework: 110 per hour

Qualifications & Experience
• Being a General Practitioner or a Medical Officer/Health Provider
• FRNZCGP eligible
• Hold or eligible for vocational scope registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
• Postgraduate qualifications
• Current practicing certificate
• The ability to make safe judgments
• Diagnostic skills, knowledge of different diseases and injuries
• Update knowledge on treatments and medical practices
• Knowledge of medical ethics and law
