We have expanded our operations into New Zealand Healthcare industry in the recent past. Thus, we have got signed with few Public Health Boards that comes with the name DHB (District Health Board) that manages several Public Hospitals under their wing and have much Healthcare position available on their site looking for suitable candidates. We received their consent to grab information from those vacancies and post on our private platforms to reach a targeted audience.
You will primarily be involved with the recruitment and follow up of patients within these projects. This includes collecting data by patient interview and collecting samples from patients. Your excellent supervisory, communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are essential in order to relate to and work with staff and patients at all levels. You are able to work autonomously and as part of a supportive senior nursing team committed to effective/evidenced based nursing practice.
The successful candidate will:
- Work in Adults and Paediatric Services to support our projects along with other research nurses
- Be knowledgeable about data entry and the ADHB computer programmes
- Undertake this role according to Good Clinical Research Practice standards
- Preferably have Research experience – although not essential
- Travel within the Auckland region may be required.
Essential
- New Zealand nursing registration.
Experience / Knowledge
• Minimum two years nursing experience in an acute setting in New Zealand.
• Specialty knowledge and practice expertise to a minimum of Level 3 practice.
• Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and implications in nursing and research practice.
• Knowledge of nursing professional development issues.
• Experience in clinical teaching.
• Blood collection for research purpose.
• Research experience and understanding of Good Clinical Research Practice guidelines
• Previous clinical research experience.
• Previous experience with Power Point, Access, Word and Excel.
• Previous experience with statistical applications and database entry.
