Cornwall House is one of ADHB’s four Community Mental Health Centres that service the central Auckland area. The multi-disciplinary team provides a range of assessment and recovery focused treatment options to the adult population with serious mental illness and severe psychological disorders.
The Care and Recovery Service provides a comprehensive range of therapeutic treatment options in collaboration with service users, their families/whanau, local communities and the Multi-Disciplinary Team within the CMHC. This is achieved through the assessment and management of the complex health needs of service users, with the provision of effectively planned care that supports them to manage their overall healthcare needs.
This role is a keyworker and would suit someone who has worked in community mental health setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an occupational therapist with Mental Health experience to join a small dedicated team of therapists, offering a range of individual and group interventions. You will apply your expertise in collaboration with service users and the MDT to promote recovery through a structured, safe and flexible programme. You will provide education and consultation around the occupational therapy perspective and you will participate in on-going service initiatives. It would suit someone who has worked in Community Mental Health setting, dedicated to empowering and enabling clients.
You will be already be a New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist with a current APC and will have a full and clean drivers licence.
This is a full time, permanent role commencing Monday 17th June working 40 hours per week. You will be working Monday to Friday.
