This is an exciting opportunity to develop your HCA skills and experience. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with nursing staff to provide clinical and non-clinical assistance to patients, ensuring a consistently high quality of care is received. In addition to patient care, responsibilities include general duties to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the ward. This role will largely provide supervision of children to maintain their safety.
We have permanent full time and part time positions working rostered hours on predominantly evening and night shifts in the inpatient wards across Hospital.

As the ideal candidate you will :-
- Have a Level 3 or 4 Health Support Assistant certificate
- Be a confident communicator and a team player
- Be able to interact with different people and cultures
- Have recent experience of working in patient care within a large hospital preferably within paediatrics
Education & Qualifications
- At least 3 years secondary schooling
- Proficiency in reading, speaking and writing English
- Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Level 3) with a strand in Health Assistance or equivalent
- Computer skills intermediate level plus
- Able to meet the phy
Experience/Knowledge
- Sound understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi
- Customer service experience
- Experience of working in a health care setting
- Previous work experience
