Client Profile
Our hospital is a busy 1000 bed facility, servicing a population of 750,000 comprising some of New Zealand’s most diverse communities. As a center for major burns, orthopedics, plastics (including hands), maxillofacial and general surgery, we are one of the busiest hospitals in Australasia. A full complement of surgical subspecialties, with the exception of Cardiothoracic and Neurosurgery, are represented. Obstetric services provide support for approximately 7000 deliveries, including a significant proportion of high complexity cases, per annum.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants should hold, or be eligible for, registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
- For ANZCA registered trainees applying for clinical anesthesia fellowship positions, applications will only be accepted for those who are in their Provisional Fellow Year (PFY), or eligible to enter PF year at the date of commencement.
- Applicants must have completed all Advanced Training requirements at commencement date unless specific College exemption is held. The CV provided should clearly document compliance with this requirement, with supporting evidence from the Training Portfolio record.
- For Non-ANZCA applicants, an equivalent level of experience in clinical anesthesia will be considered on a case by case basis. Further details can be provided on request.

Otahuhu is a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand – 13 kilometers to the southeast of the CBD, on a narrow isthmus between an arm of the Manukau Harbour to the west and the Tamaki River estuary to the east
