We have an ECT Coordinator (Registered Nurse for the ECT service) role available and would love you to join us!
This role is permanent, part time role (0.5 FTE) working Monday to Friday.
As an ideal candidate, you will have excellent skills in coordinating service delivery and managing patients across a range of clinical settings including operating theatre, inpatient units and community settings.
The purpose of this position is to ensure effective coordination of Electroconvulsive Therapy services, as part of a multidisciplinary team. To ensure high quality patient centred care in accordance with the relevant legislation, National Mental Health Standards, organisational policies and procedures and professional standards. Participation in the state wide Minimum Standards group for ECT services.
As an ECT Coordinator, you will also responsible for the overall running of the ECT service. This role is currently based at our Clinical Centre our City.
Some more criteria we are looking from you
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate.
- A minimum of 3 years post registration experience.
- A strong interest in the provision of ECT.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including MH Act, PPP&R Act and Privacy Act.
- Demonstrated clinical skills that encompass all stages of ECT treatment including assessment, preparation, ECT Procedure in theatre, recovery and follow up care.
- Advanced communication skills, including negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- A clear aptitude and track record for working effectively in a team environment.
- A willingness to contribute to quality improvement and research projects.
- A demonstrated ability to coordinate and organise a small clinical service, including the scheduling and monitoring of clinical procedures and service delivery.
