We have expanded our operations into New Zealand Healthcare industry in the recent past. Thus, we have got signed with few Public Health Boards that comes with the name DHB (District Health Board) that manages several Public Hospitals under their wing and have much Healthcare position available on their site looking for suitable candidates. We received their consent to grab information from those vacancies and post on our private platforms to reach a targeted audience.
Our Community provides multidisciplinary care and cultural support to children, young people and their whanau living within the DHB area. The service has three locality based community teams, a central team and a hearing and ear health team. Our nursing, allied health and technical staff are responsible for delivering health care services to children, young people, their families and whanau in their home, school and community settings.
We are committed to delivering whanau -centered care that focuses on the health and wellbeing of children and their whanau. Getting to know our communities, working closely with them, removing inequities and barriers to health care for priority populations, are key drivers for us each day.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and dynamic Community Health Worker to foster relationships of trust that enable whanau to improve the health and wellbeing of their children and to be responsive to whanau, their goals and decision making. This person will continue to grow cultural competence to ensure children and whanau receive timely access to our Community and other services as required (health and disability, education and social services) and be a champion for achieving health equity.
To apply for this role you must have a strong sense of team and be committed to providing cultural support and improving health outcomes for children and their whanau. It is essential that you have experience supporting families in the community, have appropriate cultural knowledge, bilingual ability and a clean full driver’s license. A relevant professional or cultural qualification is desired.
