Essential Criteria
• Experienced Clinical Psychologist with a focus on transgender in children and youth
• Able to provide leadership in the evolution of a new transgender pathway for the service
• Excellent written communication skills to provide timely reports
• Skills to audit the new pathway
• Registration with NZ Psychologist Board (clinical scope)
• Current practicing certificate
• Minimum 03 years of experience
• Post-qualification in clinical psychology
• Update knowledge on treatments and medical practices
• Knowledge of medical ethics and law

About the Hospital
This is a well-established public hospital which, provides Mental Health, Addiction, and Intellectual Disability Service; and local, regional, and national health services; neurosurgery, oncology, neonatal intensive care and community-based services including district nursing, rehabilitation services, social work, alcohol and drug services, and home support services.
You have to provide a high level of expertise in assessment of referred transgender cases; provide information and support for young people and their families during the transition process and treatment; and undertake targeted clinical work with clients to manage transgender identity, and their families.
You have to identify and diagnose psychological, emotional and behavioural issues of the patients, while developing and implementing treatment plans. As the Clinical Psychologist, you have to entails assessment & therapy with the patients, and deliver psychological services.
