Essential Criteria
• Registration with NZ Psychologist Board (clinical scope)
• Current annual practicing certificate
• Current valid NZ driving license
• Demonstrate effective clinical psychological assessment and intervention skills
• Strong communicator and be flexible with excellent organizational & time management skills
• Provide patient-centered interventions

About the Hospital
This is a well-established public hospital, which provides Child & Family Mental Health services and community-based services including rehabilitation services, social work, alcohol and drug services, and home support services. Due to this position having contact with children and the public hospital’s commitment to child protection, you will be subject to 'safety checks' under the Children's Act at the time of hire and thereafter as per the relevant legislation. The public hospital consists of a 13-bed medium secure in-patient ward & a four-bed medium secure rehabilitation cottage and a Community Liaison team.
You will require good time management skills to enable your assessment, planning, and delivery of effective clinical psychology interventions for patients; and actively involved in individual and group therapy. You will be responsible for planning, funding and providing health and disability services to a population of over 315,000 located south of the Waitaki River. These are team roles suited to applicants with an eye for detail and friendly, no-fuss style and a pro-active approach to work.
